Blessington Greenway is built around the lakeshore connecting Blessington with Russborough House and is located in Wicklow County, just a short drive from Dublin. The trail is 6.5km long, and is a relatively flat and easy walk. You can walk, run or cycle. Bring your own bike or rent a bike at The Avon (for more information click here)

You can start the trail at the The Avon towards Russborough. Or you can start it from Russborough towards The Avon. When complete, the trail will pass through the villages of Lacken, Valleymount and Ballyknockan.

With careful planning and preparation, you can make this nature trail experience even more enjoyable by learning about local plants and animals or take part in activities like bird watching or photography. The Greenway offers a variety of landscapes, wildlife, and opportunities for exploration.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll or an adventure-filled journey, Blessington Greenway offers something for everyone!!

Dogs are more than welcome, we ask for them to be kept on a leash and to clean up after them. As Blessington Tidy Town says: There is no Poo Fairy to magic it away! Any bag, any bin! Do not leave it behind you!
