Blessington Tourist Office also plays an important role in developing and leading community projects, promoting social and cultural connections, providing a platform for people to exchange ideas, share resources, and support one another. In the past we have held art exhibitions, Halloween walks, children’s art classes and storytelling.

We also offer window painting opportunities for local artists and window competitions.

Some of our community projects:

The Blessington Allotments Campaign have partnered with Blessington Tourist Office and WEEE Ireland

The Blessington Allotments Campaign have partnered with Blessington Tourist Office and WEEE Ireland to provide 200 free battery recycling boxes for West Wicklow.
The small battery boxes are a simple way for residents throughout West Wicklow to collect their used batteries, making it easier for them to be safely disposed of through WEEE Ireland electrical recycling.
To collect your battery recycling box, simply call into Blessington Tourist Office. Once your battery recycling box is full, you can:
1) drop your used batteries to our free WEEE Ireland Electrical Recycling Day on Saturday August 23rd, taking place from 10am – 4pm at McGreals Primary Care Centre in Blessington.

Christmas Fair Fundraiser

Our annual Christmas Fair for 2024 helped raise €812 for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. In January 2025, we met with Aoibheann’s Dad Jimmy to present him with the money and to hear more about the history of the charity. We want to thank all members of the community who, by supporting our fair and local artists, helped us to raise this fantastic figure.
